The lectures of the previous meetings can be obtained from the working group directors. They are free for registered participants of the workshop, while a small handling fee of 70 Euro per workshop applies to non-participants.

Previous Meetings

The 103rd meeting took place on November 21th-22nd 2019 in cooperation with Fraunhofer ITWM, Kaiserslautern under the titel Multicriteria optimization and decision support in industry. Further details are available in the invitation and the conference booklet of the event.

The 102nd meeting entitled with Mathematical optimization for the Hidden Champions took place on April 11th-12th 2019 and was jointly organized with Hochschule Pforzheim and Industrie- und Handelskammer Nordschwarzwald in Pforzheim. Further details can be found in the agenda.

The 101st meeting took place on November 22-23, 2018 under the title Mathematical Optimization meets Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Bad Honnef. Further details of this meeting are available in the agenda and in the invitation.

The 100th event entitled Mathematical Optimization in the Real World has been a special one. Supported by GAMS GmbH (Cologne, Germany), we met on April 12th and 13th 2018 in Schloß Spindlhof in Regenstauf. The talks were covering the topic mathematical optimization from a historic and applied view point, and even more such providing a visionary perspective.

The 99th working group meeting entitled Distance Geometry:  Inverse problems between geometry and optimization took place in November 23rd and 24th, 2017 in the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef. The 98th working group meeting entitled Mathematical Optimization in Aeronautics and Space took place on May 18th and 19th 2017, at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Braunschweig. This meeting was hosted and organized together with Dr. Anke Tröltzsch from DLR. Further details can be found in the invitation of the event.

The 97th meeting entitled Nonlinear Continuous and Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programming took place on November 24th and 25th in 2016 in the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef. Details are available in the invitation of the event.

The 96th meeting about the topic Mathematical Optimization in the Automotive Industry took place at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Germany, on April 14th and 15th in 2016. Details are available in the conference booklet. The meeting was co-organized together with Jan-Hendrik Jagla (Volkswagen).

The 95th working group meeting entitled Mathematical Optimization under Uncertainty took place on 19.-20. November 2015 in the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef in Germany. Details are available in the conference booklet.

The 94th working group meeting entitled Mathematical Optimization in the Process Industry took place on 16.-17. April 2015 at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen. The meeting was co-organized together with Dr. Anna Schreieck and Dr. Jen Schulz (BASF SE). Details are available in the booklet of the event.

The 93rd working group meeting entitled Mathematical Optimization in Industry took place on 27.-28. The 92nd working group meeting entitled Mathematical Optimization in the Semiconductor Industry took place at Infineon Technologies AG in Regensburg, Germany, on 3.-4. April 2014. The 91st working group meeting entitled Deterministic Global Optimization took place on 12.-13. The 88th working group meeting entitled Herausforderungen der energiewirtschaftlichen Optimierung (Mathematical Optimization in the Energy) Industry took place on 19.-20. April 2012 at EnBW Trading GmbH in Karlsruhe. Part of the official program was a guided tour throughthe Rheinhafen-Dampfkraftwerk (RDK). The 87th working group meeting entitled Mathematical Optimization and Game Theory planned for 17.-18. November 2011 in the (Physikzentrum Bad Honnef) had been cancelled due to a lack of speakers.

The 86th working group meeting on April 07/08 – 2011 was hosted by (Inform GmbH) in Aachen.
The title of this symposium was: The Impact of OR onto Industry and Society. In 2006 Inform GmbH was awarded the first „GOR Company Award“. 84th meeting: 15-16. April 2010, TNT Express in Duiven, which is very close to Arnhem (The Netherlands).

83rd meeting: 19-20. November 2009, Physikzentrum Bad Honnef, Bad Honnef.
Title: „Mathematical Optimization in Transportation – Airline, Public Transport, Railway –„. This event was supported by Lufthansa Systems Berlin GmbH Part of the symposium was a visit and a guided tour through the nearby double church St. Mary and St. Clemens in Schwarzrheindorf as well as Cologne airport.
We experienced an exciting event with many talks focussing on advanced mathematical optimization methods such as column generation and Branch&Price in the application fields of airline, train and bus traffic optimization. 82nd meeting: 02-03. April 2009, psb intralogistics GmbH and the Fachhochschule Kaiserslautern (Standort Pirmasens: Fakultät Angewandte Logistik- und Polymerwissenschaften) in Pirmasens.
